Chantelle moved to Praslin island in the Seychelles with her husband, who teaches at the international school. She thinks there must have been something in the water (or was it the SeyBrew?), as just 10 months later, they had their own little Seychellois baby, Arthur. Now she’s living her dream on a little island, raising a kid who can run around like Mowgli from The Jungle Book. Having always been an odd mix of beach bum and girly girl, 20 months in and the Seychelles have fully converted Chantelle into a flip-flop-wearing, hair-rarely-brushed, make-up-free island mama. Having just renewed contracts, Chantelle will be staying in Seychelles for the foreseeable future and that’s just fine with her! She blogs about her life as a first time island mum on her blog, Seychelles Mama.

How Women Who Live on Rocks Mimic the Tides

Women who live on rocks are, by nature, ramblin’ folks, and more often than not, adventure junkies. Take the risk, jump over the pond, love the new digs, get bored…and take the risk, jump over the…you get the idea. Craving different scenes, varieties of food, and yes,...
