Cayman Islands

Chelsea comes from the island of friendly stingrays, powdery beaches, top notch cuisine, epic scuba diving, and all-you-can-drink brunches. Growing up in the Cayman Islands sounds like a dream, but she always wanted to see what city life was all about. She got her wish for a total of 8 years when she pursued her Kinesiology and Physiotherapy degrees in Canada and Scotland, respectively. She never stayed away from Grand Cayman for long as her regular school breaks allowed her to come home for every roasting summer and breezy winter.

When she finally left Glasgow in 2013, she dove headfirst into the work hard, play hard mentality of island life and has never looked back. She’s a full-time physiotherapist, but is also passionate about promoting Cayman’s culinary scene through her food & travel blog, Island Epicurean. Chelsea uses her Caribbean and worldly upbringing to share stories about the quirks, drama, and hilarity of life in the Cayman Islands. You can also find her on Instagram.

If Once You Have Slept on An Island

If Once You Have Slept on An Island

A hundred year old poem that has stood the test of time... If once you have slept on an island You'll never be quite the same: You may look as you looked the day before And go by the same old name, You may bustle about in street and shop You may sit at home and sew,...

There’s a Rat in Mi Kitchen, what am I gonna do?

RATS… I think every rock has ‘em and if you don’t count yourself lucky!! I can’t stand them - from their beady little eyes to their gelatinous tail - yuck!! On my rock, you see them wandering around from time to time but as my husband would say in his English accent...
