Tristi never would have thought in a million years she’d be living life in the South Pacific. A few years ago, she met a guy who swept her off her feet, happened to be in the military, happened to ask her to marry him, and happened to get orders to GUAM! So here she is replacing “Good morning/afternoon” with “Hafa adai!”, picking fresh calamansi & papayas from trees growing in her yard, kayaking over crystal clear water at sunset, and exploring the culture and beautiful sights this island has to offer.

Tristi LOVES hot weather and feels cold when the temperature drops below 75 degrees Fahrenheit. Yeah, island life has made her a wimp. Passionate about public health, she’s been working for a nonprofit on the island but will be transitioning into teaching science at a STEM-based school in the Fall of 2018. On a typical evening, you’ll find her walking along the beach with her two boonie dogs, Leila and Mia, hiking in the beautiful Southern villages, practicing photography skills on Guam’s pristine landscape, watching gorgeous sunsets with her husband (when he’s actually home), or taking yoga classes to keep that summer beach body all year long (;

You can keep up with her GUd life posts on Instagram at @tristi.nichole.

The Gift

The Gift

When my husband and I decided to uproot our family from Kentucky- from the only place, people, and life we have ever known- and move to a tiny island in the Caribbean, it was of course met with so many remarks to the tune of "Oh My Gosh, THAT'S AMAZING!", "You are...
