From Utila to St Thomas to Virgin Gorda and now the Big Island of Hawaii, Samantha is a worldwide island hopping gal. Despite many years in the tropical sun, she has never managed to tan beyond a step just above translucent. She enjoys her work as a submarine copilot, boat captain, and dive instructor, and never fails to be amazed by the ineptitude of tourists. Besides her love of Manta Rays, flip flops, and cool ocean breezes, she is particularly partial to any beer that comes in a green bottle. Her most necessary island essentials are a pair of pliers and a jar of rubbing alcohol so she can squeamishly seize and dispose of endemic Hawaiian Spawn-of-Satan-Centipedes. Despite incessant, “Why are you still so white if you live in Hawaii?” inquiries from family, friends, and tourists alike, she plans to continue to single-handedly keep Coppertone in business for the foreseeable future.
