Life in Seychelles. If Laura describes it in any way, she will probably say “the island made me.” To explain: Laura’s parents found love in Seychelles, but casually lost it 10 years later, which made for quite the tumultuous childhood. “The island teaches acceptance,” she continues.

Praslin is the second largest island of the Seychelles’ 115 islands. It’s still quite small – imagine driving around the island in less than an hour. Imagine only 8,000 people on an island. While she’s unsure how anyone feels about this, let her tell you… Let her tell you about a beach all to yourself, let her tell you about secret waterfalls to discover, let her tell you of random night swims at St. Pierre island – an island smaller than a tennis court.

She has one of those curious minds that searches for teachings in everyone she meets. Her stories are about them – the people and their personalities, the places and their beauty, and the feeling it all creates.

Laura aspires to create a centre to help the children on the island – kids influenced by parents’ addiction to heroin. She believes it is a pain we must all fight to avoid.
