London, England

Born and educated in London, England, Vicky has been married and divorced with two grown children and one grandchild.

Vicky has lived and worked in England, Canada, St. Kitts, Barbados, and the Bahamas, where she has been a residence since 1992. Her pursuits reflect a wide range of interests and activities. In Canada, she stood as a political candidate, founded and chaired a shelter for abused women and children, served on a sexual assault committee, and spent time as a Director on various boards. She also built and owned a spa in Toronto and was a Marketing Director for a land development company there.

Vicky is a freelance writer and poet and earns her living as a Publicist and Wedding and Events Planner. She is an author and a poet and has published six books of poetry and has been published in the following publications: POUI (the University of the West Indies annual publication), An Anthology of Caribbean Poetry for Carifesta X, Woman Speak, and A Journal of Poetry and Art by Women in the Caribbean. She also writes a bi-weekly column for one of the local Bahamian newspapers and is working on a collection of essays.

Born on an island (albeit a chilly one), she grew up in London always dreaming of living on a warmer kind of island someday. She landed in St. Kitts initially by chance after the end of a marriage and a business loss then eventually found her way to Nassau through a series of “coincidences”.

Vicky has a service called Life Lines Writing Service and is currently ghost writing for a local artist and another “island lady” who has stories to tell. She has a blog called, Vixan Writer, which she frequently forgets to update being too busy writing for others.
